SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK SERVICE

Purpose and Objectives of Service:

1. To help students to develop their potentials to the fullest, achieve healthy personal growth, attain adequate and proper school education, establish harmonious human relationships and elicit their concern for the community.
2. To help students with personal, family and interpersonal relationship or schooling problems.
3. To strengthen the linkage among students, families, the school and the community.

Scope of Service:

School Social Work serves a preventive, developmental as well as remedial function through provision of the following services:

1. Casework service
2. Groups and programmes
3. Consultation service
4. Coordination and mobilization on non-school based community resources.

Target Group of Service:

School Social Work serves students at secondary day schools. Particular attention is given to students with personal, family and interpersonal relationship or schooling problems.
